In fact, it was easily the craziest moment on the night, and that's on a night that included standup comedy by Death, a ten-year-old opera singer and an act that pushed Howie Mandel to face his fears.Elsewhere on the night, Simon Cowell insulted one act and then chose to put himself into the line of fire and face real danger by that very same act. He then put a different act on the spot by making them leave the stage and come back with something completely new or call it a day.
Man, there was a lot going on in these two hours, and Simon was somehow in the middle of so much of it. There were inspirational stories of overcoming poverty, adversity and even aging. Oh and did we mention the living embodiment of Death was there? Yeah, that happened. Who do I think I am? you ask. Well, I spent nearly a decade of my life sweating and bleeding to the music as a dancer. From a young boy learning a shuffle-ball-change to performing with the St. Louis Ballet Company, I experienced the ups and downs of one of the most difficult physically demanding sports on the planet. During this time, I was also a member of the St. Louis Symphony Youth Orchestra, as well as a gymnast, writer and cartoonist. I had a lot more energy in my younger years.
