Ambulance strikes in Wales postponed after 'positive' talks over pay
Two unions in Wales have announced that strike action set for Monday will not be going ahead as planned.
Unite and GMB have said that they will suspend strike action after a"positive and intensive set of negotiations" on Friday.While the talks are what the unions call a"positive step forward", negotiations are set to continue on Monday. The unions say that they"did not take the decision to call off strike action lightly" and that they have not agreed to suspend future action beyond Monday at this stage.Meanwhile, the Scottish government has announced a pay offer to teachers which amounts to a 14.6% uplift over 28 months.
