Amazon's 2022 Christmas order dates deadline confirmed affiliate
The online retail giant has previously boasted of delivering last minute Christmas gifts as late as Christmas Eve just minutes before midnight, making it one of the few places to buy gifts online up to Christmas Day itself.
Royal Mail has advised people who want post to arrive before Christmas to post on or before Monday 19 December, although strike action will be taking place on 14, 15, 23 and 24 December and could impact deliveries from before that date.Amazon has also confirmed anybody buying products using its standard shipping will need to order on Monday 19 December too but there are other options that could extend the Christmas deadline.
The Priority Delivery option costs 99p for non-Amazon Prime members but it is free for anybody who has signed up for Amazon Prime. A same day delivery is available on some items free to Prime members and priced at £5.99 per delivery for non-members. Same day delivery works on all orders placed that day with deliveries arriving between 6pm and 10pm. However, this is limited to certain postcodes only so you will need to check before trying to use this option.
Despite the Christmas deadlines Amazon will hold its last minute Christmas sale until 22 December. Discounts include 51% off the fifth generation Echo Dot, 72% off wireless earphones, up to 44% off beauty products, as well as money-off alcohol including wine, whisky and Prosecco.
