Nothing quite sparks Christmas into life than the festive lights coming on in your town. And one of the highlights of November and December for Lancashire families is attending the big switch-on event.
From legendary dance duo N-Trance to emerging popstar Junior Andre, there's plenty to suit all ages. We've put together the switch-on events taking place across the county all in one place, so you can check out where and when your nearest one is.Darwen When: Saturday, November 18 Santa will return to his grotto in the historic Astley Hall on Fridays, Saturday and Sundays from December 1 to 17. Friday’s relaxed sessions are designed for pre-school and SEN audiences.Singers Max and Harvey and soul and disco legends Odyssey. Coronation Street actor Antony Cotton, who plays Sean Tully in the ITV soap, will also make an appearance on stage.
Local performers will pack into the stellar line-up, too, with The Street Monkeys, Carol May’s Dance Academy, Micah Bimson, Becce J, DLN Dance and professional football freestyler Liv Cooke all set to wow the crowds.Junior Andre, son of Mysterious Girl crooner Peter and TV personality Katie Price, will headline the event.
