All American: Homecoming is demoting two major cast members because of due to budget cuts. The series is a spin-off of the CW series All American, which follows a high school football player who is recruited to join a team in Beverly Hills. Homecoming focuses on the All American character Simone Hicks as she attends Bringston University in Atlanta and works to become a pro tennis player while balancing her love life with potential suitors Damon and Lando .
Per TVLine, the All American: Homecoming season 3 cast is going to look somewhat different. Amid CW budget cuts for their returning scripted series, the main cast of series regulars will be shrinking.

The returning superhero series Superman & Lois season 4 recently had to slash seven regular cast members from the roster. This has all come as a result of a recent deprioritization of the network's previous scripted programming.
In early 2022, The CW was put up for sale by its parent company, which claimed the network had never made a profit, and acquired by the Texas-based company Nexstar. Nexstar announced their intention to drastically reduce the current slate of scripted programs, refocusing on less expensive programming. Since then, the existing slate was slashed and the new shows added to the lineup have largely been unscripted programs, sports programs, or international acquisitions.
All American: Homecoming is one of only four scripted series to survive the programming purge. The others are Superman & Lois, the flagship series All American, and the neo-Western reboot Walker. Although all four are continuing into the coming season, the fact that they are returning in such a limited capacity still leaves their immediate futures in question.
