We chat with HelloTomorrow star Alison Pill about Myrtle's journey, the trials and tribulations of being a consumer, and Billy Crudup's unfailing leadership:
Warning: Spoilers for Hello Tomorrow! season 1 finale.Hello Tomorrow!, Apple TV+'s retrofuturistic sci-fi series about a crooked salesman trying to send customers to the moon, has recently concluded its first season. The Morning Show's Billy Crudup, who also serves as an executive producer, stars as the mouthpiece for the operation: Jack Billings.
Alison Pill: It's super duper fun. The number of things I've gotten to throw! I love throwing temper tantrums and knowing that props and set deck have to help me clean up afterwards. It's not like a temper tantrum at home, where you're just gonna have to clean up after yourself, and there's no point. There are professionals resetting between every throw, so that's cathartic and wonderful and highly recommended.
I loved your early scenes with Herb Porter, as he is your first introduction to Brightside. What was it like working with Dewshane Williams? Speaking of Billy, he's also an executive producer on the show. I know you didn't spend much time with him onscreen, but what has he brought to Hello, Tomorrow! on the creative or leadership front?
It's hard to pinpoint specific actions, but I think that's overall what he brought: a really great work ethic, an inspiring performance that made everybody step up, and then a lot of kindness and respect for everybody doing the best they could. You can't ask for anything more, in my opinion.

Abortion pill plan clears Kansas Legislature; veto expectedAbortion opponents have pushed a bill through the Kansas Legislature to require providers to tell patients that a medication abortion can be “reversed” once it’s started. The measure approved early Friday could face a state court challenge if its supporters can overcome the governor’s expected veto. Republican lawmakers pursued the bill even though experts dispute abortion opponents’ claims about medication abortions. Democrats argue the measure defies a decisive statewide vote in August affirming abortion rights. Democratic Gov. Laura Kelly vetoed a similar measure in 2019. The votes for the final version of the bill were 80-38 in the House and 26-11 in the Senate.
