Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez renews call for Trump's impeachment after MuellerReport, cites Lindsey Graham’s comments

Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on Thursday renewed her call for Congress to impeach President Donald Trump following the release of Special Counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election.

In 1999, Graham was a member of the House of Representatives, and also one of 13 Republican legislators who made the argument at the impeachment trial of President Bill Clinton that the president should be removed from office. Clinton was ultimately acquitted by the Senate on all charges. In 2002, Graham was elected to the Senate. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez listens during a House Financial Services Committee hearing on April 10.

"Even the redacted Mueller report reveals serious misconduct reached the highest levels of the Trump campaign & administration. The president then demeaned his office & the rule of law by attempting to interfere with the investigation," Vermont Senator Patrick Leahy wrote."The attorney general seemed almost to be acting as the counselor for the defense, or the counselor for the president, rather than the attorney general," he said.
