The three Republican members of Congress said the U.S. should answer Ukraine’s call for more military aid.

Young said he continues to push for a ban on Russian vessels in U.S. waters and for the U.S. to seize yachts owned by Russian oligarchs. Biden promised such action during his State of the Union address last week. But finding and seizing the yachts can beMurkowski and Young both voted last week in favor of an omnibus bill that included $14 billion in aid for Ukraine. Sullivan opposed that bill.

In a statement released after his vote, Sullivan said he has “consistently supported increased lethal and humanitarian aid for the Ukrainian people” but that he opposed the $1.5 trillion, 2,700 page omnibus bill because he did not have enough time to review its full contents. In his statement, Young said that $14 billion aid package is “a positive step” but “with thousands of innocent civilians already killed, we must continue to put partisanship aside and strengthen our support for Ukraine in its fight against Putin’s violence.”

In a news conference Wednesday, Sullivan said the Zelensky’s speech “should be a call to changing the paradigm” under which the U.S. government has been operating. When our assumption is that Ukraine will lose, our options to help them become limited. This administration needs a paradigm shift. There is another possibility:
