Liverpool came out on top in the Merseyside derby with a 2-0 win over Everton, but it wasn't short of controversy
Alan Shearer has questioned Craig Pawson over his decision not to send off Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konate.
Pawson failed to show the Liverpool defender a second yellow card, which would've evened out the numerical advantage following Ashley Young's red card in the first-half. All-time Premier League goalscorer, Shearer, highlighted a challenge from James Tarkowski on Ryan Gravenberch in the first-half. The Everton centre-back upended the midfielder as Liverpool looked to attack on the break.
Analysing for BBC's Match of the Day, he said: "Konate gets his first yellow card, an absolutely right decision, he knows exactly what he's doing, a yellow card.
