AKRON, Ohio – Akron’s Fall Fest is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 22 and the Downtown Akron Diwali Festival is set for Sunday, Oct. 23. Both celebrations will be held at Cascade Plaza in downtown Akron.The free event is scheduled from 5-9 p.m. and features trick-or-treating along Main Street from 5-7 p.m. Additional activities include pumpkin decorating, face painting, a photo booth and a fire pit lounge. Attendees can also enjoy music from Mo’ Mojo and roaming performances by a magician.
The landing at Cascade Plaza will feature a large-scale rangoli – a temporary drawing that includes colorful geometric patterns, floral images and religious symbols by Nirali Schrader.
