Labor Day travelers are heading to Dallas-Fort Worth airports for one final trip before the end of the summer.
After one of the busiest summers Dallas-Fort Worth airports had after the pandemic, travelers are taking one last vacation before the end of the summer this Labor Day weekend., airfare for domestic flights this year costs an average of $226 per ticket, down 11% from last year and down 20% from Labor Day in 2019.
Some international travel has some good deal airfare as well, with airfare to Europe for long weekend trips averaging $1,132 per ticket, down almost 10% from last year but still up from 2019, according to Hopper. Weekend getaways to Mexico and the Caribbean are averaging between $350 to $430 per ticket, down 10% from 2022.
