Class 6A-1A areas 1-8 along with Class 7A areas 1-4 play in Montgomery while Class 6A-1A areas 9-16 and Class 7A areas 5-8 play in Huntsville. Class 2A sixth-ranked Sand Rock beat Gaston 25-6, 25-13, 25-12 in one semifinal while West End beat Collinsville 25-17, 25-14, 25-19 in the other. The Wildcats downed West End 25-22, 25-15, 25-8 for the title – its fourth straight area crown – with West End advancing as runnerup.
