We chat with ShazamFuryoftheGods stars Adam Brody (handlebrody) and MeaganGood about working with Zachary Levi, leveling up their super-suits, and the dream DC villains for the Shazamily to fight:
When Shazam! Fury of the Gods starts, Billy and his family have been fighting crime for a few years since defeating Dr. Sivana and have experienced varying degrees of success. While Billy struggles with his identity as a superhero and his fears about the future, a new threat appears: the Daughters of Atlas. Targeting Billy and the others because of their powers, the Shazam family must beat this dangerous new enemy and stop them from using a potentially world-ending weapon.
Meagan Good: Yeah, the biggest thing was observing. Just seeing how Faithe [Herman] talked, how Faithe walked, how she expressed and emoted, and all those things. A lot of it was copying that, and then imagining if she was in this situation where now she's superhero.
As for playing opposite that, it's a big force, so it's also not so hard to find it and buck against. Get out from under his shadow; the guy's like 6'8". And then the suits were incredible; such an upgrade. Way more complimenting, easier to maneuver in, and it was just freaking awesome. DNA and blood relation is great if it comes with that level of love and support, but at the same time, it's who loves and supports you that you need to be surrounded by no matter what. And you've got to get away from the toxic people whoever they are. I think we all find our families as we go along in life.
