The League One side have been in fine form this season and will look to maintain it at home to Edinburgh City

John Rankin is targeting a 17th game unbeaten with Hamilton Accies but says they go into their Edinburgh City clash with “one eye shut”, because they don’t know what to expect from new opposition boss Michael McIndoe.

So Rankin doesn’t know what to expect on Saturday, but warned Accies will need to be on top form to repeat their 3-0 win at Meadowbank in August. “We’re trying to do as much due diligence as we can, and try to see if we can come up with a game plan that will get us three points. “I’ve got to say the support has been great, the fans have been travelling in numbers, so hopefully we can continue to play in a way where we’re trying to win games and be on the front foot.Accies aficionados are scouring the record books to see when the club last embarked on such an unbeaten run.

Rankin says being able to field fringe players at K-Park worked well for Accies against their Lowland League hosts.
