Dante Polvara knows Scottish football has had its issues with VAR since the technology was rolled out last season. But the painful Pittodrie Europa Conference League cock-up on Thursday night proved the set-up isn’t foolproof anywhere.
“It was just unlucky. I saw the penalty call in real time and there was definitely a claim to be made. We can’t point towards that in terms of the result because we were still in control. But VAR is there for a reason. It’s a bit iffy if they didn’t go to it at all.
