The collision took place outside Chester House Estate
A 60-year-old man is in hospital with serious injuries after a major collision on the A45 near Rushden yesterday . An air ambulance was called to the scene, and traffic was stopped in both directions.
, between Rushden Lakes and Little Irchester, at around 7.30am. The driver was in a black Toyota Hilux, which was involved in a collision with a blue Vauxhall Astra. Northamptonshire Police and Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene, and the A45 was closed for a number of hours as the accident was cleared. The man was airlifted to University Hospital Coventry.Northants Police officers are now appealing for anyone who might have witnessed the incident, or have dash-cam footage of the collision or the vehicles involved prior to the incident, to come forward to assist with the investigation.
