HARTFORD, Vermont — A Christian high school has forfeited a girls basketball state tournament game, citing concerns about playing an opponent that has a transgender girl on its roster.
. “Allowing biological males to participate in women’s sports sets a bad precedent for the future of women’s sports in general.”The game between Mid Vermont and Long Trail School was supposed to be played on Feb. 21. The forfeit allowed Long Trail to advance, but it was knocked out of the tournament in its next game, mynbc5.com reports.that transgender females are allowed to play on high school girls teams under Vermont law.
