CEO coach Jerry Colonna believes that if you're struggling as a leader, a fix is likely not going to come from a simple adjustment to your workflow or budget: You're going to have to dig deep and determine what aspect of your mindset is holding you back.
Colonna recently sat down with Business Insider to discuss his career as a prominent venture capitalist turned coach, and his new book,which is also the name of his coaching firm. He joked with us that his approach can't be distilled into something like"5 steps to being a great leader," since he believes leadership has to be analyzed on a case-by-case basis. Still, he's developed a set of general exercises — and you don't have to be a CEO to use them.
