An officer is recovering after she was injured in a crash in Philadelphia's Nicetown neighborhood just after noon on Thursday, according to police.
The Philadelphia police officer was in pursuit of a stolen car when the crash happened on the 1900 block of West Wingohocking Street, officials said.Get Philly local news, weather forecasts, sports and entertainment stories to your inbox.Skyforce10 was over the scene of another crash just a couple of blocks away where a black SUV could be seen on its side as crews assessed the damage on the 4400 block of Germantown Avenue.
Sheila Ptah was locking up her bicycle when she saw the whole thing unfold and rushed to help two women stuck inside the car. "I went into superhero mode and started trying to open the back doors and the windows. Since it was turned over you never know if it's going to start catching on fire. You know you see all the stuff on TV," Ptah told NBC10.
