On May 30, Jaclyn had released a collection of nude lipsticks through her Jaclyn Cosmetics line. But following the launch, users on social media stepped forward to share issues with the products. Aspreviously reported, consumers questioned the safety of the products after finding bits of reported fuzz, bubbles, and grainy texture in their lipsticks. Over the last week, social media chatter continued to grow, and many had called on Jaclyn to respond.
In the video statement, Jaclyn assured customers that the products are safe, and that only a small number of products were affected. In a statement emailed tofrom a Jaclyn Cosmetics spokesperson, they confirmed that products "are made with cosmetic industry-standard, FDA compliant ingredients and are produced in an OTC compliant factory that is registered with the FDA, providing high degrees of safety standards and rigorous testing.
Jaclyn's video and the accompanying statement from a company spokesperson explained the reasoning for certain appearance issues. The brand attributes the white fuzz to cotton gloves worn by the manufacturer, and fibrous material used to clean product vats used in the creation process. Although Jaclyn Cosmetics says the lipstick with fiber is still safe to use, the company

Going forward, we will no longer be experiencing these experiences that we are having.
