During the summer after the spring semester ended, Michael Benarde saw his sister's first stab at creating a drink cover. With a few classes under his belt from theBy that time, there was a name , and Shirah had consulted a seamstress for execution.This would be a new venture for the Benardes, who were used to building forts as children – not growing a business. They spent the last few months polishing the idea and their pitch.
As Michael leaves FSU, his sister plans to attend the university once she graduates high school. The siblings and their parents, Scott and Mindi Benarde, took a tour of the JMI building in downtown Tallahassee days before Michael's graduation.
