A 71-year-old man was mauled to death by seven dogs Monday afternoon in unincorporated Fort Bend County, officials said, marking the area's second dog attack in days.

The man was walking to the store around 1:30 p.m. when the pack of pit bulls attacked him in the 4300 block of Mark Terrace Lane in the Fresno area, according to the He was transported via Life Flight to a hospital where he died from his injuries, Sheriff Eric Fagan said. The sheriff said the man did nothing to provoke the attack. The agency did not release the man's name.Authorities had captured four of the animals by Tuesday morning and located the remaining three dogs by afternoon following a multi-agency search in the wooded area, according to the sheriff's office.
Prosecutors are considering a second-degree felony charge against anyone whose animals were responsible for the deadly attack, said district attorney Brian Middleton, although it remains unclear whether the dogs have an owner.
