A fatal crash has shut down a busy far West Side road, the Bexar County Sheriff's Office said.

A 31-year-old man was killed after the teenage driver of the vehicle he was in made a left turn in front of an 18-wheeler Tuesday morning on a busy far West Side road, according to the Bexar County Sheriff's Office. Officials said the crash happened at the intersection of Culebra and Talley roads at around 9:15 a.m. According to BCSO, a 17-year-old girl driving westbound on Culebra in a Kia SUV attempted to make a left turn onto Talley on a yellow turn signal as an 18-wheeler approached.
The driver of the 18-wheeler attempted to avoid the SUV but hit its front right side, officials said. Officials advise drivers to seek an alternate route.
