Friday marked a sizzling day at the Memorial Tournament, with temperatures in the 90s and hardly a cloud in the sky.

The sun only seemed to add to the atmosphere of"Find shade and drink a lot of water," Aarohi Srivastava, who attended with two friends, said."Just have fun and try to enjoy yourself, even though it's kind of hot," Lizzie Cannon said as the three practiced their putting."He's my buddy," Mary said about her son, as the two enjoyed the views from the 18th hole under the cover of a black and white umbrella.

For fans who make the Memorial Tournament an annual tradition, they have their strategy down to a science. "It's not my first rodeo," said Ryan Whiteside, attending with his son Evan and using an umbrella to shield them from the sun, as they waited for autographs.Bridge Park welcomes all during Memorial TournamentNo umbrellas are needed for Tom Siska and Teresa Black, friends who have been attending for 20 years. They've experienced this event in all sorts of weather.

"I prefer it cooler," Black said about the temperatures. "But no rain is a good part and it's really unusual for the tournament too." They set up with chairs, hats, and water near the 18th hole, in the shade of an established tree along the course."This is one of our favorite spots," Siska said. "The shade moves up towards the 18th green. There's a breeze and usually the bathrooms, drinks and the food is all near."
