The Best TV Shows Streaming On Peacock In March
This is perhaps the weirdest television show I have ever bore witness to, but I say that as a compliment. Prolific television comedy director and the director of the most recent film , Jason Woliner, was approached by an odd man who goes by the name Paul T. Goldman about his bonkers life story. The story that Goldman tells involves a Russian mail order bride first wife, a crime ring leading second wife, and a barrage of bizarre subplots.
Aside from it being a deliciously ridiculous tale, the show is incredibly clever in how it showcases the real life Goldman, who in addition to being the subject of the doc is also a) reading his memoir version of the events, b) wrote a screenplay of the events, and c) is acting in a production of his screenplay all within this documentary. It is a fascinating character study and extremely meta, but you won't be able to take your eyes off the screen.
