Tacko Fall , the 7-foot-6 giant from Central Florida, hopes to give back to his native Senegal whether he makes the NBA or another pro league. Whether or not he ends up making it to the NBA, Fall has dreams commensurate with his size that extend beyond the basketball court.
Fall, 23, is not projected by ESPN.com to be drafted but if he makes the NBA he would be just the second player from Senegal in the league after Minnesota's Gorgui Dieng."I've never met Gorgui, hopefully someday I will," Fall said. Fall was playing basketball at a playground in Senegal, and eventually another man, Ibrahima Ndiaye, helped bring Fall to Houston through his academy, Flying Star. After the school he was first at in Houston didn't work out, Ndiaye brought Fall and Badji to look at a school in Tennessee and then another in Georgia.
"Neither the school or us had information about them," Wettstein, who's mother-in-law is a counselor at Liberty Christian, told the AP in 2016."At the time we didn't know anything about their journey, just that they had been in Tennessee and needed a place."
