December 13, 2019, 9:13 PMCatch up on the developing stories making headlines.Rome -- The"Portrait of a Lady," a painting by Austrian painter Gustav Klimt now valued at $66 million, was stolen from a gallery in northern Italy more than 20 years ago.
The theft of"Portrait of a Lady" was believed to have happened during a three-day span leading up to Oct. 22, 1997, when the work was being moved into another building as part of a temporary exhibition. Custodians at the gallery were among those initially questioned, but the case eventually was abandoned because of a lack of evidence.
