BREAKING 2 passengers, 3 crew members hospitalized after unexpected turbulence on flight to Houston, United says
Paramedics responded to Bush Intercontinental Airport on Monday morning after five passengers and crew members were injured on a United Airlines flight.
United Airlines said five people total were met by medical personnel and taken to a local hospital with minor injuries due to unexpected turbulence during flight UA 128 -- two passengers and three crew members.ABC13 cameras captured video of several ambulances outside of the airport.ABC13 has a crew at IAH working to learn more about the passengers and crew members' conditions."United flight 128 encountered unexpected turbulence while en route to Houston.
On Sunday, at least 36 people were injured on a Hawaiian Airlines flight after the plane encountered severe turbulence.Eleven patients were in serious condition, Honolulu Emergency Medical Services said in a statement. Among those transported to the hospital was a 14-month-old child The patients' injuries included a serious head injury, lacerations, bruising and loss of consciousness, Honolulu EMS said.
