They are taking place at Children's Museum Houston, Fort Bend Children's Discovery Center, Kemah Boardwalk, Downtown Aquarium and The Woodlands Children's Museum.
At sister property Fort Bend Children’s Discovery Center, guests use personal confetti poppers to count down at an event featuring a juggler and crafts.The free event features a crafting corner where guests make noisemakers, along with a DJ and a stilt walker organizers have dubbed “The Mirror Man.”
Those who want to continue the celebration can stay for 9 p.m. fireworks over the bay. Rides stay open until 11 p.m. And, for the 12th year, The Woodlands Children’s Museum hosts a High Noon Countdown, where kids make 2022 time capsules and toast their parents with sparkling grape juice.“It’s really a magical event,” executive director Angela Colton says of the event, which is centered around dancing to local Tom’s Fun Band.
