The 49ers plan to activate Elijah Mitchell and three other players off injured reserve for Sunday’s game against the Chargers.
SANTA CLARA — Running back Elijah Mitchell will join the 49ers’ cadre of offensive weapons. Coach Kyle Shanahan announced Friday Mitchell will scome off injured reserve, along with linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair, offensive tackle Colton McKivitz and defensive end Jordan Willis.
Samuel’s practice-speed times showed that his hamstring was responding well enough by Wednesday where his reps weren’t limited in practice all week, coach Kyle Shanahan said. Ebukam is doubtful, and although he didn’t practice after Monday’s quadriceps strain in non-contact action, he hasn’t missed a game in his five-year career.
