Rancho Cucamonga attorney Thomas Yu, who represents at least two of the terminated officers, did not respond to multiple requests for comment. The Daily Breeze searched databases and social media trying to reach the terminated officers for comment, but was unable to do so. The texts, which were sent from July 2018 to February 2020, include jokes about having “gassed the Jews,” urinating on a Black man and beating up a woman. They employ several variations of the N-word and refer to detainees as “monkeys,” “moon crickets” and “savages.”, leading to 15 officers being placed on administrative leave and loud calls from the public for consequences.Four officers connected to the scandal disappeared from the staff roster at separate times over the past several months.
