A 5-year-old girl was among those struck in Newark, according to police.
Three people, including a 5-year-old girl, were injured after being struck by vehicles Sunday in Newark, authorities said.That crash took place shortly before 8:30 p.m. Sunday when a woman was struck by a hit-and-run driver near the intersection of 3rd Avenue and McCarter Highway. The woman was brought to an area hospital and is in stable condition, according to police.
Earlier at 4 p.m., a vehicle hit a 5-year-old girl and a woman in the area of Grafton Avenue and Broadway. Both are in stable condition at an area hospital. The driver stopped and has not been charged, police said.
