Baker County Sheriff announced charges against three people in the deadly shootings of two men that in August he described as an “execution-style murder.”

Photos provided by family members.– Baker County Sheriff Scotty Rhoden on Friday night announced charges against three people in the deadly shootings of two men that in August of 2022David “Daniel” Sigers and James Michael “Bo” Thomas were found fatally shot on Aug. 1 of last year in a home off Sawtooth Road in Macclenny, investigators said. Family members said the two men were close friends who had been living together.
Rhoden said Curtis Peyton Austin, 16, is charged with first-degree murder, burglary and grand theft of a firearm. News4JAX learned shortly after 9:30 p.m. that he’d been taken into custody after sheriff said during the news conference that Austin was still sought. Waylon “Joseph” Hannah, 19, Rhoden said, was also facing charges of first-degree murder, burglary and grand theft of a firearm. He was in custody.
And thirdly. Rhoden said, Robert Martin Trueblood, 25, was in custody on charges of accessory after the fact and tampering with evidence.The sheriff said investigators determined that on July 30 at least two people went to the house on Sawtooth Road and Sigers and Thomas were both fatally shot. Several firearms were taken from the home.
“So far, the detectives have been able to determine there’s been an alleged dispute from a prior incident between one of the victims and at least one of the suspects,” Rhoden said.“I ask our community continue to pray for our for the victims of this crime,” Rhoden said. “They’re going to need it because it’s still a long process for this family. And we will stand beside them through this whole process.
