A second man was arrested in connection with a shooting that killed one man and injured another at a motel in Stemmons Corridor last month.
Police wrote in an affidavit that a woman got out of a vehicle that pulled into the motel parking lot, and walked to a room on the second floor. After speaking with someone at the door, she returned to the vehicle and two men and two women who walked out of the room followed her down the stairs.
Once they reached bottom of the stairs, two men got out of the vehicle and fired multiple shots at Tucker-Duran and Rangel, the affidavit says. Police said the gunmen and the woman then drove off. Investigators said a witness identified the gunmen as Acosta, who she said was her boyfriend, and Lynch, who she said was her cousin and Acosta’s best friend, the affidavit says.In an interview with investigators, Acosta admitted he was at the motel at the time of the shooting and said he was the only person who fired a gun, according to the affidavit.
