. My last strainer was the wire type, and I spent a good amount of time cleaning and cursing that thing because everything seemed to stick and meld itself to the wire. I've had no problems with this strainer. It stays clean looking, and is easy to clean. I just empty it, wipe it off with a soapy paper towel, rinse, and replace. Magic!I'm still loving this sink strainer. It still looks brand new, and I've been using it for more than six months in my kitchen sink.
