Bridgewater police are investigating the incident.
A Hopatcong woman was fatally stuck by a vehicle in Bridgewater Township early Sunday morning, police said.
Kelsey Benson, 28, sustained fatal injuries after being struck by a car on Rt. 28 westbound near Vanderveer Road in the Somerset County township shortly after midnight.Members of Robert Wood Johnson Hospital Paramedic unit responded to the scene to render aid to Benson, but she ultimately succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation and no charges have been filed at this time, police say.
