Buick gives us our first look at the North American version of the Envision, which gets a new grille, a massive infotainment screen, and Super Cruise car auto cars
works on more than 400,000 miles of roads in the U.S. and Canada. The highly regarded ADAS system allows drivers to take their hands off the for extended periods of time, though they must always stay focused on the road and be ready to take over driving duties at all times.
While that may turn out to be the most technically impressive update to the 2024 Envision, its most apparent change is its exterior design. Inspired by the Buick Wildcat EV concept, the crossover will now have a large lower grille bracketed by diagonal slashes. Above it, slim checkmark headlights give it a more modern look, and Buick’s new body-mounted emblem brings it right up to date with the brand’s latest design.
Previously seen in China, the design updates are largely restricted to the Envision’s front end. While there are some minor updates at the back, design disclosures published across the Pacific suggest that Buick’s designers were largely satisfied with the crossover from the A-pillar back. And why not? The 2023 Envision’s sales are up 76.4 percent in the first five months of 2023, and the crossover is on track for a record sales year. Just because there will be a lot of carry-over outside, doesn’t mean that the interior won’t change though.Our first look inside the Envision reveals that it will get a new tech-forward cabin.
All of these changes should combine to give the 2024 Envision a serious boost in terms of design and technology and may help it appeal to more premium clients. Full details about the drivetrain and more will be revealed later this year when the crossover is fully revealed.
