Mazda's long-promised inline-six is set to come to the U.S. market in a flagship three-row SUV.
So far, there's not a ton of information, but the single teaser image does provide a few revelations about the upcoming brand new model for Mazda. The side badging obviously reveals the inline-six engine has made it out of development and is bound for the U.S. market in American-made Mazda SUVs, as promised.
Mazda also confirmed in a news release that the CX-90 will introduce a new paint color shown in the teaser image called Artisan Red, and it will be a three-row SUV. To fit all those seats, it'll be built on an all-new large vehicle platform, and is meant to be the brand's next flagship model. The CX-90 will be"wider, longer, and more aggressive" in proportion compared to every current Mazda model.
The exterior look is a continuation of Mazda's Kodo design language that plays with smooth, curvy surfaces and"harnesses the power of light and shadow." Evidently, the new Artisan Red color is"specifically developed to suit large platform vehicles." We'll learn more about the 2023 Mazda CX-90 SUV at its official reveal coming up in January 2023.
