An active weather pattern is bringing winter-like conditions in April.
A weak system will dive down from the Pacific Northwest into Northern California on Wednesday evening, arriving in the North Bay first and gradually spreading south into the central Bay Area, forecasters said. Scattered showers are expected to continue into Thursday.
The North Bay will see the heaviest rain fall from the system, with Napa and Santa Rosa predicted to receive 0.25 to 0.5 inch, the weather service. Totals will diminish south of the Golden Gate with San Rafael, San Francisco and Half Moon Bay forecast to measure 0.1 to 0.25 inch. Concord, Livermore and San Jose are likely to record less than 0.1 inch.
