Scott Kevin Fairlamb, a 44-year-old from Stockholm, New Jersey, punched and shoved a Metropolitan Police officer when he exited the Capitol, according to the DOJ. Prosecutors said Fairlamb also took a police baton from the ground and posted a video on Instagram, where he said:"What Patriots do? We f——— disarm them and then we storm the f——— Capitol."
Fairlamb is facing up to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine after pleading guilty to obstruction of an official proceeding, along with up to eight years in prison and a $250,000 for his assault on law enforcement guilty plea. Thompson pleaded guilty to assaulting, resisting or impeding officers while using a dangerous weapon, which carries up to 20 years in prison and a fine of $250,000.More than 570. That's how many people have been arrested in the seven months since the mob of Trump supporters forced their way into the U.S. Capitol, according to the DOJ, with over 170 of those arrested having been charged with assaulting or impeding law enforcement.
