Amended planning consent has been granted for the East of Leeds City Centre scheme
Planning permission has been granted for an £185million Leeds Urban Village scheme which will see five towers containing over 1,000 flats built in the city centre.
The Leeds Urban Village scheme will see 1,012 residential apartments constructed in five separate towers which will each range from 13 to 23 storeys tall. This includes 478 build-to-rent apartments. On the ground floors of the towers, there will be retail spaces alongside space for food and beverages, as well as a shared pantry, cinema and 'library of things'. The developers envision this as a space for appliances and useful equipment for people to borrow.
According to the developers, they are targeting the 'Fitwel' rating for the development, which considers occupant wellbeing and health in the design. As a result, there will also be a new cycle hub with direct platform lift access to parking in the basement as well as cycle welfare facilities.
