As a parent, I usually rate kids' movies based on how the film lands its story and jokes with both kids and adults. Some can walk this fine line perfectly, while others completely miss the mark. There are countless films that, as a child, I had no clue what I was laughing at but just knew it made my mom giggle, so it must be funny.Looking back on these films today, I realize how many jokes I missed and how much films of the eighties and nineties played with the PG rating.
