Community has always been at the heart of the SFFF, which is why organizers wanted to help foster it by doing “something special,” Allison says. Allison says considering that the definition of genre film is relatively broad, audience members at the SFFF should expect creative documentaries, dark comedies, horror and sci-fi.

It’s the best way to come experience a movie just for fun. It’s a party,” Allison said.
