FOUND SAFE: 11-year-old who went missing from Missouri City found safe, FBI Houston says
The AMBER Alert was issued Friday for Imani, who was last seen in the 3700 block of Dry Creek Drive at around 1:45 a.m., before suddenly disappearing.
Early Friday, the Texas Department of Public Safety released a bulletin showing a man who they, at the time, listed as a suspect. Hours later, a correction was sent in another bulletin and on social media with a different man listed as the suspect. That person, too, has been ruled out after he went to the police station on his own to clear his name, according to a spokesperson with the Missouri City Police Department.Imani lives with her grandmother, who said she believes the girl left with a man she met on the internet.
The grandmother said Imani used bed sheets to climb out of the second-story window overnight and didn’t take any belongings or her phone.They were able to track her down through “Find My Phone.”Copyright 2022 by KPRC Click2Houston - All rights reserved.
