Four enthusiasts of the country’s fastest-growing sport plan to open an 11-court indoor pickleball complex in Naperville this summer.

This article is available exclusively for our subscribers, who help fund our work at the Chicago Tribune.Sure Shot Pickleball will offer 11 dedicated, indoor courts in its 27,000-square-foot facility in Naperville at 2244 Corporate Lane, north of Ferry Road and east of Route 59. The facility will offer leagues, lessons, camps and weekend tournaments for all ages and skill levels.

The idea was hatched, Grant said, when the weather turned cold and he and a friend were talking about the need for an indoor space to play pickleball.Sure Shot Pickleball, which is opening this summer in Naperville, will offer drop-in and hourly court times as well as memberships that give regular players cost reductions and other benefits.“We spent months trying to find a place,” he said.

A USA Pickleball report released this year said the rapid growth is attributed to the sport being embraced across the nation at both the recreational and competitive level for casual, amateur and professional players. Four years later, the district brought pickleball indoors at the Fort Hill Activity Center, providing year-round access.
