The game's cinematic elements, which also take cues from the work of Stanley Kubrick and David Lynch, coupled with an interesting female heroine, would make it a great candidate for a video game film adaptation. That's also the opinion of The Book of Eli screenwriter Gary Whitta, who tweeted about his desire to work on the adaptation in 2020 .
Cyberpunk 2077 Cyberpunk 2027 has already spawned an expanded universe that includes comics, toys, and Netflix's anime spinoff Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. As the game has been able to move past its troubled launch in 2020, the next logical step would be a film adaptation of the original title. Cyberpunk 2077's whole aesthetic pays tribute to the titular sub-genre of science-fiction films, and any adaptation in the near future has an in-built lead in Keanu Reeves.
Mass Effect While Mass Effect has already had one canceled film adaptation, the idea is strong enough to warrant another attempt. Mass Effect is a beloved sci-fi video game series with a fleshed-out universe and compelling characters that would translate well to the big screen.
